Back in France

We are back in Paris with one more participant - Katt!  That means back to finding cool parks and going on lots of walks. Our visit would be much different if it were only 12-year old Asia and 14-year old Zach.  Even in a few years, if we come back here again, we would be experiencing Paris from the eyes of teens.  Luckily we're not there yet!  ha ha!

Another difference is that we have some friends who are visiting Paris at the same time - the Neiders!  And then my brother will be here next month.  It's a lonely vacation when you don't have other people to talk to if you don't speak the language fluently.

Yesterday we went with Christy and Jonah on a treasure hunt in the Louvre.  Helen, from England, was our tour guide and was great with the kids.

I think I still prefer the more modern art. Or pictures.  But the sculptures and paintings were definitely amazing. Asia felt a little uncomfortable around the nude male sculptures. hee hee.

Asia and Zach were also surprised by the aggressive crowd in front of the Mona Lisa. Asia managed to squeeze herself to the front of the crowd but couldn't get a selfie because of a rude woman who thrust her camera practically in Asia's face. Zach took this picture of the crowd.   Helen explained that the hubbub about the Mona Lisa is really only because she was stolen and then returned and there was a lot of press at the time about the missing painting.
